A Thousand Winds

I started to like this song since I first heard it at the Japanese Song Contest, TBIC...

It's a hit song by Akikawa Masafumi in 2007, probably based on an English poetry as below, but I'm not so sure as I couldn't understand the documentary in Youtube...however, it's a beautiful piece of poetry and musical instrumentation arrangement..I could feel what the message was even before I know the meaning of this song..

A Thousand Winds (author unknown)

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds of circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I do not die.

(.....I think there is more to this poem...)
